Bauble- a small, showy  trinket or decoration

Beguile- (someone), sometimes in a deceptive way

Burgeon- begin to grow or increase rapidly

Complement- a thing that completes or brings to perfection

Contumacious- defendants behavior

Curmudgeon- a bad tempered or surly

Didactic- educational, instructive, etc...
